Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
I believe that Ezra prepared his heart by giving God what was like a blank check. He asked God to do whatever was needed in and to his heart. When God saved me, I asked Him to become my spiritual heart surgeon. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. |
